As we grow older, different parts of our body and face start to sag. If you should live in a place where there is no gravitational force, none of our parts would ever sag.

But, gravity is not the only factor for sagging, the other culprit being loss of elasticity and tone of the skin, which reduces gradually with age.

FACE LIFT OR RHYTIDECTOMY

This is done to remove the excess of loose, sagging skin of the cheeks , face& neck, which produces wrinkles. The excees loose skin is removed and the wrinkles are smoothened out to give a younger and more youthful look. Also, the muscles below the skin of the face are tightened during a face lift to produce results which are more long-lasting. The excess skin of the neck and any bands in the neck can also be addressed and corrected to improve the cosmesis of the face and give a look which is 10 to 20 years younger.

The surgery can be done under local anesthesia with some sedation to relax you and requires one day stay in the hospital. It can also be done under general anesthesia.

DOUBLE CHIN

Double chin is corrected by removing the excess of fat under the jaw bone by suctioning method or by open method through a small cut under the jaw bone. Double chin can be corrected under local anesthesia without any hospital stay. This can also be done along with face lift.

EYELIDS

Upper and lower eyelid wrinkles caused by the laxity of the skin can be improved and tightened. This procedure called Blepharoplasty is done under local or general anesthesia and requires one day stay in the hospital.

BROW LIFT

Sagging eyebrows can be lifted higher to their proper location either by removing skin from just above the eyebrows or behind the hair line. It can also be done along with a face lift, or endoscopically.

THIN LIPS

Thin lips can be made thicker by injecting Fat or placing Dermal graft in the upper and / or lower lip. The surgery is done under local or general anesthesia, and needs no hospitalization.

THICK LIPS

Thick or fat lips can be reduced in size. This surgery is done under local anesthesia without any hospital stay and both the lips can be reduced at the same time. This procedure can also be combined with other facial surgeries.

FACIAL IMPLANTS

Facial implants are mostly utilized for cosmetic uses in the face. They can be made up of a number of different materials. Depending on the desired result, they are placed in different areas of the face.

Probably the most commonly inserted facial implant is a chin implant. It is used in people who have a deficiency in their chin leading to an oval appearance of their face on profile.

The implants are most commonly made up of hard silicone and can be inserted through two different routes. One route is through the lower lip, where an incision is made in the mucosa, which is the lining of the inside of the mouth, approximately a centimeter or so below the roots of the teeth.

Normally a pocket is then created over the bone of the chin and the implant is placed over the most prominent part of the chin. The other route for insertion, which is more popular, is to do an incision underneath the skin between the chin and the neck. A pocket is then created and the implant is placed.
